New Website Revision

Finally completed the latest revision to the website! This version not only looks better, but has better browser support and a lot more content. I've also added all of Sick Day, Stray Thoughts & my latest story Globe Fish to the website.

In the portfolio page, I've also added my latest work: a drawing of Carl Schurtz Park I completed last week.

GLOBE FISH

So I had a dream a few weeks ago about this funny little creature called a Globe Fish. While I don't remember the context of the dream very vividly, my memory of the creature was ingrained in my head - so I made up a story about him. Since Halloween is fast approaching, it seemed like a great avenue for a little mini-comic. It will be self-published as a small 8-page mini-comic. I'm going to hand a few out for free on Halloween, so if you want one drop me a line!

Creative Quarterly 16 - Runner Up!

Creative Quarterly magazine issue 16 was just released. While I didn't win a high enough award to be printed in the edition, my runner-up award is the best I've done so far. I submitted "Upwards in Fall".

The award & image can be seen here: http://cqjournal.com/gallery.html

Scroll down for Chris Kreuter, and you'll find it. One day I will be in this magazine.

Isabella Geriatric Center - A Night in the Heights

Last night, I participated in an art auction through the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMMA) and the Isabella Geriatric Center on 190th St & Audubon Ave. in New York City.

I had two original pieces at auction: April Abstract & Life In Yellow - both 6"x6" abstractions that were quite popular. These pieces were precursors to my book Stray Thoughts, and are some of my favorite pieces. Both pieces sold at the auction, with a large portion of the proceeds going back to the Isabella center and to NoMMA. Thanks to everybody who attended and provided such amazing feedback!  The photo below shows my pieces in the black frames with black matting to the bottom left.

Blog Change!

I've gotten a lot of requests to produce a regular blog, detailing the various events and experiences I have been having with my art and design work. If anyone has any questions or comments, please send me an e-mail and I'll answer them with a blog post.
